New Android apps worth downloading: My Disney Experience, The Tiny Bang Story, Beach Buggy Blitz

Here are three great Android apps to enjoy. My Disney Experience is a fantastic accompaniment to a visit to Walt Disney World with its interactive maps and wealth of information. Weve also got two new games: The Tiny Bang Story is an adventure game which offers plenty of puzzle-solving fun in a magical world, while Beach Buggy Blitz provides high-octane racing, providing youve got a Tegra-optimized tablet or smartphone.

My Disney Experience (Free)

Whats it about? Official Walt Disney World information including details of attractions, maps, wait times, dining reservations and much more.

Whats cool? The GPS-enabled interactive maps are really useful for visitors and cover WDW entirely including the theme parks, water parks, Disney downtown and the resort hotels. You can even see wait times for rides and attractions and check dining availability. There is plenty of official park information including activity and entertainment guides, plus the ability to save favorite experiences to access later.

Who is it for? If youre visiting a Walt Disney World resort, this app is pretty much a must-download. Even just having all the maps in your pocket would be enough, but the wealth of extra info available, plus the ability to make dining reservations or check wait times truly make the app worthwhile.

Whats it like? Disney do have some other apps in Google Play like Disney Mobile Magic, Radio Disney and Disney Memories, however My Disney Experience is the most essential if youre visiting.

The Tiny Bang Story ($2.99)

Whats it about? Once a Sony Xperia exclusive, Herocrafts impressive puzzle game is now available for everyone to enjoy yay!

Whats cool? Youll visit a gorgeous steampunk-inspired world devastated by a recent asteroid strike. Your mission is to restore this beautiful idyll to its former glory by hunting hidden objects and solving puzzles. The game is set across five distinct chapters each featuring lovingly hand-drawn locations. With no text in the game, users will intuitively find their way around the planet, working out what tasks need to be completed.

Whos it for? Fans of both puzzle games and hidden object games should enjoy The Tiny Bang Story. It was a huge hit as a PC title, ranking in the top 10 downloads at Big Fish Games and Gamehouse, so its likely to see similar success on Android. It offers little guidance, and its up to the player to discover how to do things themselves, which make it fun and enjoyable.

Whats it like? The Tiny Bang Story offers similar gaming mechanics to adventure games like Machinarium or the web-based title Samorost.

Beach Buggy Blitz (Free)

Whats it about? From the makers of Riptide GP and Shine Runner comes this racing game which will see you riding a hot-rod buggy on a mysterious island.

Whats cool? Youll be swerving and smashing your way through a detailed and completely destructible world packed with Tiki statues, grass shacks, giant crabs and lava monsters. There are plenty of performance-boosting upgrades and power-ups, new vehicles, and the ability to unlock wacky new characters. Whats more, its all free.

Whos it for? Disappointingly, Beach Buggy Blitz is only for Tegra-powered devices right now, but according to the app description, thats only for a limited time. Its definitely a game that driving and racing fans will enjoy with its great physics, lots of unlockable content and intuitive controls.

Whats it like? Vector Unit has some good pedigree as a game designer. Riptide GP, their watercraft-racing game, is a top-notch offering. Check out Buggy RX Free if youre a fan of buggies, or the highly-acclaimed Reckless Racing 2 if you love off-road action.
